TCU Football Graduation Photos

When people think of TCU senior photos, they might imagine caps and gowns or traditional portraits. Well, this session was something a bit different. When the inquiry first landed in my inbox, it felt like any other senior session request -a college senior, finishing up an important season of life, wanting photos to mark the moment. It wasn’t until after his mom booked that I realized I was being given the opportunity to photograph a TCU Horned Frog quarterback. And honestly? That realization made this session even more meaningful—because what stood out most had nothing to do with football stats or headlines. Josh Hoover wanted his senior photos to reflect who he is beyond the field. As a collegiate athlete, a native Texan, and a soon-to-be graduate, Josh approached his session with humility, intention, and a desire to keep things genuine. It was his kindness, his respect for everyone around him, and his heart for honoring his family during this season. These are more than just TCU Football senior pictures, these are capturing Josh’s story and part of his legacy.

Josh Hoover

Josh is a native Texan through and through. A business major at Texas Christian University, he balances the demands of TCU football with a deep appreciation for a simple, grounded life. When he’s not on the field, you’ll likely find him riding horses, fishing, or hunting. Activities that reflect his steady, outdoors-loving personality. His mom described him best: sweet, Christian, and a hard worker. Once I met him and spent time photographing him around the TCU campus, I agree her description couldn’t have been more accurate.

Authentic Senior Photos

For his TCU senior photos, Josh’s priority wasn’t spotlight or flash—it was authenticity. He’s had his photo taken countless times over the years for magazines, newspapers, and online media, so being in front of the camera felt second nature to him. But for this session, he intentionally chose not to wear solely football gear. As a matter of fact, we did’t take any “sports pictures”. Instead, he showed up in boots, a button down, a cowboy hat, and a favorite jersey to wear with some jeans, along with a football casually in hand to use as a prop. The result? Images that feel timeless, personal, and unmistakably him.

Josh’s parents joined us for the session as well, and we captured several family photos around the TCU campus that felt just as important as the individual portraits. In fact, Josh’s main goal for the entire session was simple: to make his mom happy with images she would cherish. That alone speaks volumes about his character.

TCU Senior Photo Locations

We photographed his session at some of the most iconic spots on campus, including the Frog Fountain, the TCU sign on University Ave, and of course the Amon G. Carter Stadium. One of my favorite moments was stepping onto the field and watching Josh toss around a football. There was no pressure, no performance, no fans, just a young man soaking in a place that’s shaped him in countless meaningful ways.

TCU Senior Photographer

As a TCU photographer, it’s always an honor to document seniors during this season of transition. But sessions like this are especially memorable because they remind me why senior photography matters. These photos aren’t just about accomplishments, they’re about who someone is beneath the titles.

Josh Hoover is finishing his time at TCU with humility, heart, and a deep love for his fellow Horned Frogs family. I’m grateful to have captured a small piece of his story.

If you’re looking for TCU senior photos that feel personal, honest, and true to you, I’d love to help tell your story too.
